I would love this shop, ordered parts for a Pi Zero a while ago & some other stuff here and there, but now, wanna get my hands on 2 Pico W's to make a project where they cimmunicate with each other, but then the shop has a limit of one piece for a Pico W per customer? Can't you do at least 2, so you do not pay more shipping cost than the product is worth? Also heard they lock newer Raspberry items in stock to only customers who made multiple orders already. Really whack. Raspberry should be for everyone, this feels like it feels like with legal/private insurances when you need new organs ^^

They are gatekeeping by not allowing newcomers to the hobby buy raspberry pi 4 saying that you must have an account and a history of shopping with them, leading you to believe that if you shop with them you will be able to ,what they don’t tell you up front is that if you didn’t start buying from them over year ago you will not be allowed to buy said item , effectively only serving repeat customers. To their credit they did cancel my order as soon as I got wise to their swindle

Surprised to see a number of negative reviews for Pimoroni.

My personal experience has been positive.
I have recently (reluctantly) overpaid for a Pi Zero 2W from an ebay seller due to a shortage of these devices and I've been after a Pi 3 model A+ for a different project.

Other stores sell out as soon as there is stock but thankfully Pimoroni have measures in place to ensure all stock isn't swept up by parasite scalpers and I was actually able to place an order for a Pi that's sold out everywhere else! Now if only other shops would do similar for GPU's!

Postage costs are very reasonable and delivery has been super swift so will definitely be using this store

I have been using this site for years without issue, they are really reliable and have good prices.

On this occasion however the product ordered did not work as described, it is not compatible with all Raspberry Pi models, in particular Pi 3B running fresh install of Bullseye.

Even after loading the manufacture drivers/software the module is unstable, still images work randomly at lower resolutions only, and video not at all, module works for while then not at all.

Also there seems no way to leave product reviews on Pimoroni, avoid this product if you can:

I have placed an order on their site and payed for the product and never received anything. They are not even respindig to my emails

Have always delivered quickly and without any issues.

Order of RPi2 + power supply. Pimoroni collects tax for Europe, but still had to pay Euro 11,61 due to bad paperwork by Pimoroni. So I am robbed. Do not order from Europe from them!

Really poor customer service on the return of an order.

As a long time Pimoroni customer I ordered two Plasma 2040 to find that they were faulty (poor soldering on the external connector).

Pimoroni support asked me to return the items for investigation via their tracked return service, which I did.

Six weeks later and after several email exchanges Pimoroni say that they do not have the boards (despite the tracking site saying that the parcel was delivered successfully), and they are neither providing replacements or refunding the transaction.

Pimoroni Support are now not responding to emails on the subject.

I no longer trust this company.

Its Good for a website where you buy computer parts

Excellent company. A great range of maker components with a handy stock notification widget for tracking down the elusive 2GB and 4GB Raspberry Pis ?

Just had a delivery issue (due to UPS not Pimoroni) and the support team were excellent. I've ordered with them half a dozen times and deliveries have always been timely. Even with this carrier-inflicted delay it was fast. Highly recommended.

You should communicate and set the right expectations for delivery time instead of communicating that somewhere in a page that's not visible during the checkout process. The checkout process tells me it's 2 weeks max, if you know you won't be able to make it, then just update it with the latest known delays instead of me having to open a support ticket to know what's going on?

Purchased a Pirate audio board (october 2020) (previously rated that experience as excellent). Well, it failed (august 2021).
Contacted Pimoroni. A very helpful person call Matt responded to my enquiry quite quickly, giving me some pointers and advice to follow to ensure that the problem was with the Pirate audio board. It was.
A replacement was sent out very quickly, with the cost of the return of the faulty item covered.
This is customer service. The full five stars are very well earned.

Used to order a lot, then Brexit happened.

For a 60eur order, being asked to pay 50eur in taxes is rendering the entire operation just pointless.

Shame, because I liked this shop, but I will decline the package and never order there again.

Well, slightly embarrassing really!
I had bought a Pico Explorer board and had trouble getting it to work properly, their customer service was excellent and we soon realised that there was a fault on the board. They immediately offered to send me a replacement - without me having to return the original!
However when I looked for the order number I saw that I had actually bought it from a different company. They were very gracious and laughed it off but I was very embarrassed, the customer care person (Hel) spent a lot of time diagnosing the issue. I have now ordered more products from them and if the level of service stays the same, they will be my 'one stop shop' for electronics parts.

Highly recommended supplier for Raspberry Pi and similar. Fast delivery.
